Evolutionary Computation Based Design and Reconfiguration of Shop-Floor Layout
This paper presents an implementation of a new approach for online adaptation of the existing manufacturing system. Based on the proposed approach a simulation model has been built and tested. The analysis has been conducted using real production data. From obtained results of the simulation we able to conclude that our proposed model has a high level of adaptation of the manufacturing system shop-floor. One of the major characteristics of our proposed approach for multi-objective design and reconfiguration of the manufacturing system is that we can simultaneously influence design and adaptation of the shop-floor layout and scheduling rules
