Modeling of Manufacturing Structures in the Early projecting Phase

When we are machining definite workpiece assortment, the market requirement conditions the development and selection of adequate manufacturing system model. For that reason, the whole workpiece assortment is grouped to obtain small homogenous groups on the group technology principles. After that, groups are joined with optimal manufacturing structures. The choice of basic manufacturing systems (BMS) optimal models depends on the whole range of different factors. That selection is because of meagre input data specific in the early phase of the project – concept making of complex manufacturing systems (CMS). Essential characteristics of basic models are analyzed. Based on that analysis the distribution and description of such BMS models, applying for concept making in the early projecting phase, are given.
