The role of web design in product promotion and education

The experience and results of research in CARNet's center for educational materials development are used as the base for this paper. In this paper the importance of Internet in product promotion and engineer education with accent on design of web page is described. All advantages and disadvantages of the use of Internet in promotional purposes are discussed with special accent on the importance of basic elements of web page design. In the paper are also discussed different aspects of Internet use in a system of education for engineers. The necessity of modern technologies uses to improve the process of teaching and knowledge distribution is pointed out and all possibilities of its use in the engineer education are discussed.
