Suppression of acute experimental allergic encephalomyelitis in rats by administration of myelin basic protein or special India ink
Experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) is an accepted animal model for the human demyelinating disease multiple sclerosis. EAE can be induced by intradermal injection of myelin antigen from central nervous system (CNS) in an adequate adjuvant. Suppression of disease has been one of the major goals of research in this area.
