Sažetak
The paper deals with the layout of expert system (ES) for wind energy utilization and its application to specific project. ES-clarification procedure is developed to cope with most of the user's requests (accounting for project limitations and goals) and specifying thereby the ES inference engine reasoning to match WPS to the given site. Hierarchical multilevel addressing provides efficient manipulation with data bases containing wind energy data in Croatia and commercially available wind turbine generators (WTG) data respectively. The prospect of wind energy utilization on the Middle Adriatic island of Lastovo i.e., contribution of the wind power ststion Lastovo in electric power supply to the mainland grid and the local community, is predicted by applying ES inference engine. WPS-installed power is determinated on account of comprehensive analysis which contains specific investment and energy cost optimisation criteria, as well as WPS matching to the island's grid.
