Electronic Properties of Nanohorns

Electronic properties of nanohorns were investigated by electron spin resonance, resistivity and thermo-electric power measurements. Electron transport and spin relaxation is governed by hopping between "dahlia"-like aggregates of conducting nanohorn structures. Upon doping, conduction electron part of paramagnetic susceptibility increases significantly. Field emission properties of nanohorns rank them among the best field-emitters currently available.
