As matters stand it will hardly be possible to differentiate a damage accordin to its origin so it would not be possible to separate damages resulting from blasting from damages having other causes. It may be clear, however, that contribution of blasting to a total damage will directly depend on quantity of explosive and the distance from the blasting location. With increasing distance the permissible explosive quantity will increase. Distance and explosive quantity at which the damage could be neglected define the damage threshold. If the explosive quantity is becoming larger, increasing are the duration and the range of seismic disturbance. For this reason the determination of the permissible quantity of explosive is extremely delicate and important requiring a special care.
