Influence of fertilization on physical, chemical and physiological properties of malting barley

Properties of beer barley grown without fertilization were compared to barley treated with bacterial and conventional fertilizers. Examination has demonstrated significant difference in effect of fertilization method on properties of barley which has also been confirmed by statistic methods. Barley bred by addition of bacterial fertilizer had good grain yield, with seed protein content of the first class malting barley and increased ability of germination. Fungicidal effect of Azotobacter chroococcum bacterium decreases the potential of malt and beer contamination with mycotoxins. General conclusion is that application of fertilization method by Azotobacter chroococcum bacterium is justified in production of malting barley
