Problems of Territorial Distribution of Retail Trade Units in the Republic of Croatia

In this paper, the authors discuss problems of territorial distribution of marketing activities (especially of the retail trade) and the influence of modern information technologies (IT) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) on the new formation of retail operating units. Information about such development trends are of great importance for the Republic of Croatia because of the new trends relating to the strong penetration of the large foreign retail trade chains with large-surface retail operating units.
