Compounds from red wine in isolated rat aorta and porcine coronary artery: do they act as pharmacological or protective agents?
We tested the effects of some phenolic acid derivatives of red wine on the contraction of rat aortic and porcine coronary rings. Wine as a mixture of different drugs relaxes all blood vessels, and most of the substances used in our study relax the isolated vessels, too.
