Dual method of demolition industrial buildings by blasting, performed above aqueduct protected by UNESCO

New dual method of demolition blasting is described in the paper. The industrial buildings were pulled down by means of two known methods: rotation and coving in. This procedure was carried out in the centre of Split - Croatia. Residential buildings are placed near the pulled down buildings with the Diocletian Aqueduct (cultural monument) passing under the construction site. Due to such specific conditions special precautions and monitoring of seismic effects were applied.
