Sustainable Development of Nautical Tourism
In this paper its authors start from the definition and essence of sustainable development of tourism, with an emphasis on numerous interdependability of the sustainable development and nautical tourism. Taking sustainable development for the aim and purpose of managing coastal economy and ecosystem, they stress how important it is to build ecologically suitable infrastructure, to encourage and guide the users of coastal resources on the way of sustainable development, and to prevent possible deviations. What is particularly stressed is the need to introduce ecological standards in the activities of nautical ports as well as the need for legal regulations to encourage the sustainable development of nautical tourism, where, in addition to economic parameters for development, we also need to take into account the ecological perception of development based on the economy of natural resources. Since the capacities of both nautical and tourist development are not a fixed category, the authors suggest a few developmental scenarios, and they also speak in favour of a model that respects all the limitations in the sphere of environment, social, cultural, economic and political aspects.
