Programming Boundary Element Method in Design of Hydrostatic Bearin
Average pressure and flow in hydrostatic bearing can be calculated by using boundary element method (BEM) for approximating integral equation of a problem with system of linear equations and by using successive elimination method (SEM) for solving that system of linear equations. The computer program can be divided into two tasks, as it is illustrated by the flowcharts. First task is to generate data, i.e. to set and store bearing parameters and to divide bearing boundary to the boundary elements. The second task consists in generating linear equations system by using BEM, in solving that system and in calculation of final results.
