Motion of a part of overhead transmission cable during the break
This paper presents a model suitable for the analysis of dynamical behaviour of overhead transmission cable after the break. Model is based on the elastic pendulum theory consisting of multi-degree of freedom masses connected by elastic elements. Since the mathematical formulation shows the highly nonlinear problem a Newmark time integration method with Newton-Raphson iteration scheme is used. The efficiency of the proposed model is demonstrated by the means of two examples.
