Computer Simulation of Injection Moulding Process
The central phase of mould for injection moulding development consists of the rheological, thermal and mechanical mould calculations which may be performed analytically and numerically. With computer simulation it is possible to predict the difficulties that might occur during the injection moulding. The application of CAE analysis in the classical procedure of injection moulding has proven to be a very important factor in predicting and optimising the production parameters as well as moulding properties. However, in thin-wall injection moulding certain differences in the behaviour of polymer materials have been noted, and it is necessary to analyse the applicability of the CAE analysis for thin-wall injection moulding. For this purpose a CAE program has been applied, and the results of simulation have been compared to the results obtained by the experiments in real conditions.
