Forming of Missions, Development Guidelines and Main Goals in Managing Tourist Destination

The authors of this study shows an example of a development and management in a tourist destination, secure on beforehand pre-set missions, guidelines and goals. Up to this time, concepts for development of tourism destinations in Croatia, in most cases, give major accent of mass tourism activities. Only in rare cases these concepts stress the humanitarian and &laquo ; tender elements&raquo ; present in tourism activities. Therefore, the authors put in first place humanitarian and tender elements of tourism activities, and implemented into missions, guidelines and goals in order to achieve an optimal level of development and management of tourism destinations.
