Sažetak
Total of 16815 signal sequences were gathered from the Swiss-Prot 44 data base. The upgrade SPLIT 4.0_sig had improved performance parameters with respect to SPLIT 4.0 (http://split.pmfst.hr) when tested at the TMH benchmark(http://cubic.bioc.columbia.edu/services/ tmh_benchmark). Better choice of amino acid scales reduced false positive prediction on a set of soluble proteins from 13% to 11%.
