Proizvodnja suncokreta

The book "Sunflower Production" is divided into 9 chapters. The chapter entitled "The importance of Sunflower as a Crop and its Worldwide Production and Production in Republic of Croatia" summarize history of the cultivated sunflower Helianthus annuus (L.) and its importance as a crop in general. Furthermore, the information of the current world status of sunflower and worldwide production as well as production in the Croatia is given. In the Chapter 2 "Stages of Sunflower Development" are given the description of main development phases proposed by Schneiter and Miller (1981) which is most commonly referred in the literature and widely used by procedures, industry personnel and scientists. The subject of Chapter 3 Ecological Conditions for Sunflower Production is the impact of the main ecological factors (soil, light, water and temperature) on yield formation process and yield structure of sunflower. Generally, it is well-known that sunflower has been repeatedly decribed as very sensitive to environmental factors. The environmental factors are interacted. The agrotechnical measures important in wide production of sunflower are decribed in Chapter 4 (Agrotechnics of Sunflower). These are: the most suitable crop rotation, then timely apply tillage measures, fertilizer and necessary weed control, optimal time planting, row spacing and plant population, the care measures which have performed during sunflower vegetation and finally promptly and efficiently harvest the crop. Mineral and organic fertilization is represented in Chapter 5 Fertilization of Sunflower. In the part of the Chapter 5 about mineral nutrition, the physiological role and significance of macro and microelements, their deficiency and excess in sunfloer nutrition as well as fertilizer recommendations are decribed. Concerning to organic form of fertilizers there is assertion that is much better to fertilize previous crop with them than sunflower. Chapter 6 Weeds in Sunflower and Their Control provides information about kind of weed species in sunflower in our large-scale production as methods of weed control (chemical, mechanical and cultural), currently registered herbicides for sunflower in Republic of Croatia as well as new trend in control weed in sunflower. In Chapter 7 Sunflower Diseases and Their Control are given description of the main insects that can be found in sunflower in Croatia as well as recomendations for control measures. Finally, in the last chapter 9 is given literature.
