A Vision from the Ruđer Bošković Institute Regarding Cooperation with the Mediterranean Research and Application Network (MERAN)

The combined effects of global climate change and human alterations of the environment will be especially pronounced in the coastal, shelf and estuarine zones. In the Adriatic sea a special consideration should paid to water level change, alteration in circulation patern with consequences on deep water formation, and to eutrophication with consequences on carbon cycle.
