The influence of boron and magnesium foliar fertilization on elements of sugar beet yield
The results of researches, without doubt, show the justification of foliar fertilization with B and Mg on soils where deficiency of these two elements is found. The boron apply improved the average root yield for 2, 4 t/ha and sugar content for 0, 46%. Mg apply is useful too, because it improved the yield for 5, 9 t/ha and digestion for 0, 7%. The profit was 248€ /ha with Mg fertilization and 86 € /ha with B fertilization. All these arguments lead to conclusion that the foliar fertilization with boron and magnesium is recommendable on the soils where the deficiency of these elements is established or when the first symptoms of the deficiency appear on the leaves.
