Optimisation of Electrochemical Machining
The most common use for electrochemical machining (ECM) includes the manufacture of turbine blades for gas-turbine engine. Harder machining regimes provide greater productivity but the profile accuracy and the surface roughness can be deteriorated. Allowed profile departure of turbine blade is given as well as the required roughness. Hence, in order to achieve the highest possible productivity along with the given value of profile departure, the input parameters must be optimised using the appropriate goal function. This paper presents the results of the investigation on the optimisation of ECM input parameters.
