Disagregated analysis of matching function according to qualification level in Croatia and Slovenia
The focus of this paper is directed to the analysis of the growing problem of structural unemployment caused by qualifications maladjustment in Croatia and Slovenia during transition process. Constant high unemployment rates and a low share of participation of labour force in the transition countries point to the more complex problems, that one strives to connect more and more with the regional and qualification mismatch. The primary focus of this paper is to examine the matching process, in other words to examine the labour market ability to even better adjust the existing labour demand and supply by creating new employment possibilities. Decreasing of prevailing number of unemployed is possible only if efficient adjustment between supply and demand at disaggregated level re-establishes. The paper investigates existence of maladjustments according to classification in Croatia and Slovenia by disaggregated analysis of matching function.
