Sažetak
Karst hydrological investigation of the River Krka from the Dinaric karst is presented. In spite of extensive hydrological, meteorological, and hydrogeological measurements, the River Krka catchment is insufficiently gauged. This paper presents a suitable and simple hydrological methodology that can be applied to scarce available data obtained on complex karst terrain. The paper treats a complex but common case of water circulation in the Dinaric karst system. The primary objective of the investigation was to determine the catchment areas in four profiles along the River Krka. The Turc formula was used for this purpose. This is a first step towards application of sophisticated hydrological models, needing large amounts of reliable data.
