Observational test on the origin of magnetic field in chemically peculiar stars of the upper main sequence

Using the 1-m Austro-Croatian Telescope equipped with a PixelVision CCD camera, the search for CP stars was undertaken. CCD Delta-a photometry of the open cluster NGC 6705 was made during two observing runs in July-August 2003. PSF fitting photometry is applied and magnitudes for almost 400 stars in the cluster region derived. A significant positive Delta-a value is detected for single object only, star #7730 in the nomination of Sung et al. (1999).
