Latent Structure of the Tests Assessing Specific Motor Abilities in the Faculty of Kinesiology Students
During a handball game players perform certain specific movements and motions, that is tehnical-tactical activities efficiency of which depends on numerous latent dimensions. In order to recognise signiticant these latent dimensions have for the play efficacy in a game, their existence should be determined first. A sample of 215 male students of physical education was examined to assess handball specific motor abilities by means of a 15-items test batery. A simple factor analysis model, employed for data processing, confirmed the existence of three motor dimensions that explained 42% of difference among participants in the space of their specific motor preparedness. The obtained factors were named as follows: power of throwing the ball(SIZLOP), speed of moving with and without the ball(BKRSBL), and specific accuracy of goalshootinhg(PRECIZ).
