TOWARDS PROCESSING OF VIBRATION SIGNALS IN IDENTIFICATION OF PERMANENT WAY AND TRAIN BOGIES - INTEGRAL TRANSPORT SYSTEMS

Trains allow fast transportation of passengers and goods. Today and in the future they are expected to provide the desired level of safety, shorter travelling times, high comfort of passengers and precise scheduling. By applying advanced methods in automatic guidance control, it is possible to transfer certain elements of the traffic process into the intelligent management systems. One such possibility if the application of fuzzy regulation in driving the railcar. The paper presents the possibility of applying fuzzy logic where the basic factors of such control are applied in a suitable manner ; the knowledge base and the decision logic. By installing this control method optimal driving is achieved regarding energy consumption, regularity and comfort, and the railcar operator is released from performing some routine tasks enabling better attention of traffic. One of the essential factors which contribute to travelling comfort are vibrations. It should also be noted that determining the nature of vibrations is in direct relation to the reliability of the system. If, namely, the train and the tracks are in exploitation, we may use the vibration processing results to foresee their life-time, i.e. the necessary overhaul, and during the overhaul and rail modification these may be determined to achieve improvements. The efficiency of applying fuzzy logic in railcar driving has been shown, with various input variables, with special emphasis on the input variable providing vibration parameter. Based on the analysis of vibrations acting on the system and by processing the vibration parameters and applying the fuzzy logic it is possible to manage the train power plant.
