Miniaturized Waveguides, Resonators and Antennas based on Uniaxial Single-negative Metamaterial
Propagation below cut-off frequency of the rectangular waveguide filled with uniaxial negative permeability metamaterial is one among several new physical phenomena observed last years in field of metamaterials. This paper reviews some representative research results on this topic obtained at University of Zagreb. Experimental investigations which may pave a way toward interesting applications such as miniaturized waveguides, resonators and open-ended waveguide antennas have been shown and briefly discussed.
