Phase Transformation in Steel During the Quenching

The possibility of prediction of quenched steel microstructure composition has been investigated. The numerical method of prediction austenite decomposition has been used in computer simulation. Prediction of quenched steel microstructure composition has been estimated based on elemental composition, austenitizing temperature, austenitizing time and time of cooling from 800 °C to 500 °C. Established numerical method is suitable for microstructure prediction of low-alloyed steel.
