Structural reinvestigation of (LaS) 1.14NbS2 and resistivity measurements
The structure of (LaS)1.14NbS2 has been reexamined through a supercell approach using the Bb2b noncentrosymmetric space group. The reliability factor stabilizes at a much lower value (R=0.067 to compare with R=0.155) for 830 reflexions with I[right angle bracket]3 sigma (I). Resistivity measurements made on single crystals indicate a metallic behaviour and a transition to a superconducting state below T/sub C/=2.43 K.
