Research on the Incorporation of Model Scattering into the Synthetic Aperture Radar System
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is used today in various applications, giving the resolution of visible and infrared systems while keeping the low attenuability of radar signals in atmosphere. A number of varieties of SAR realisation exist. Many of them differ in radar signal processing (RSP), an important part of the SAR application process. Nowadays, RSP is done as a real-time analysis (RTA). In this article the possibility of using the database of electromagnetic radiation (ER) scattering data for various objects during RSP is investigated, in order to obtain additional information about the recorded objects, preserving the possibility for RTA at the same time. The specle formation influence is discussed. Such an approach would have the longstanding objective of improving airborne instruments used for different purposes and could help in situations in which processes should be precise, reliable and fast.
