Tectonostratigraphic terrane and paleoenvironment maps of the Circum-Panonian Region.

In contiuation of the Terrane Map Project of the former IGCP Project No. 276: "Paleozoic Geodynamic Domains and Their Alpidic Evolution in the Tethys (Coord.: D. Papanilolau, F. Ebner, F. Neubauer, G. Rantisch), the terrane and paleoenvironment map series of the basement of the Pannonian Basin and its Alpine-Carpathian-Dinaridic surrounding has been compiled for four time silices, in scale 1:2 5000.000:1. Variscan preflysch (DevonianEarly Carboniferous)environments ; 2. Late Variscan molasse (Late Carboniferous-Early Permian) environments ; 3. Initial Neotethyan rifting (Middle-Late Triassic) environments ; 4. Maximal Neotethyan spreading (Middle Jurassic) environments. The main goal of the map series to present information about the relationships of exotic blocks/terranes building up the postorogenic collage in the Pannonian of exotic blocks(terranes fuilding up to the postorogenic collage in the Pannonian basement, which amalgamated and accreted finally by the Middle Miocene.
