Sažetak
The paper investigates the potential of factor analyses of items of self-assessment scales to provide insight into the factor structure of interpersonal communication competence. An empirical evaluation of a theoretical taxonomy of communication skills is performed. Three basic factors were revealed by factor analysis of two independent measures: general or the G-factor of communication competence (F1) ; sociability and friendship (F2) ; inclination to conflicts and domination (F3).
