Red cultivars suitabilities for a technics of "Double ripening" in Istria (Croatia)
The research took a place during 1996 and 1997 in a collective plantage of Institut for agriculture and tourism in Porec. The research took a place on cultivars: Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon and Cabernet franc. Each cultivators was followed throught three ways of vintage: usual vintage, late uncut vintage and late cut vintage ("Double Ripening" - DMR Per cultivators and ways of vintage it was followed the next: yield, randman (must and rest after doughing) and must analyzes (Babo, Oe, acids, pH) During the research the intensity of rotting was followed on grapes left for latter vintages and followed as wel by climatic indicators (temperatura, relative moisture, rainfalls/snowfalls) The results of these research show that with common circumstances the technics are up to wine growing and wine production in Istria.
