Sažetak
There are numerous cases confirming appearance of overrun scenarios in projects related to different sectors all around world. Investors, clients and project managers are particularly in very inconvenient position facing with consequences and responsibilities. The human role in project is absolutely the most influential factor which define project output, both in positive and negative scenarios. The paper deals with project managers role in transition countries. Results of an investigation of overrun scenarios and the role of project manager on large database of construction projects are described. Although the sample projects are from within Croatia, the results are valuable for other countries in transition.
