Dynamic Model of Frictional Fabric Transport in a Sewwing Machine

The typical process of fabric transport in a sewing machine is described by means of a simplified dynamic model. In the numerical time integration of the equations of motion, several different possible situations are considered regarding the friction conditions. A computer programme is made that automatically produces the diagrams of motion for two layers of fabric for the selected set of parameters (fabric properties, sewing speed and step length, foot pressure force, friction coefficients). As a result, an approximate prediction of process parameters is enabled for the case of fabric motion within the limits admissible for the regular formation of the sewing stitch.
