Some problems of rhythmic gymnastics sport school
The paper analyses influence of the rhythmic gymnastic (RG) programmed training on motor abilities in36 girls, 8 years of age.Since the RG specific motorics is based on jumps/leaps, turns/pivots, balances and flexibilities, the battery of measuring instrumenst was composed of11 variables assessing explosive power, coordination, balance and flexibiliti. Between two measuring points the examinees participated in a 1 year training programme. Statistically significant changes occurred in 7 motor tests (fleyibilitx, explosive power and cordination. The progress was unsufficient to support quality sport selection. The motor complexity of the RG may be a limiting factor of early selection after 1 year training.
