Beginning and Ending Lessons in FL Teaching

The paper begins with the presentation of purposes that lesson openings and closures may serve. It further presents the strategies through which these purposes may be realised. The second part of the paper brings the results of the analysis of transcript of classroom talk. The aim of the analysis was to find out the frequency of strategies for beginning and ending lesson. The paper ends with the discussion of the obtained results and the conclusion.
