Franciscus Patricius' model of thinking and modern cosmology
Patricius' physical and mathematical theories of space were interpreted in the light of modern cosmology and philosophy of science. In his theories of space, Patricius developed the first notion of isotropic space on the astronomical scale, with an early modern picture of a dynamic rather than static universe. Henceforth, a rename of the Copernican principle by the Copernican– Patricius principle would better reflect Patricius' philosophical role in the birth of modern cosmology.
