In Search of a Global Business Success versus FAilure Prediction Model

In this survey study, the Lussier (1995)success versus failure prediction model , which had be previously validated in U.S., was tested using logistic regression in Central Eastern Europe with a Republic of Croatia business sample. The U.S. model significant variables resulted in developing a reliable and valid predictive model of success and failure in Central Eastern Europe. Three of the four significant predictors in U.S. model: staffing, education level and use of professional advice were also significant predictors of success and failure in Central Eastern Europe. Thus, the model can be used as an exploratory global success vs. failure prediction model in other countries. The use of the model and its global implications are discussed.
