Effect of Feed Mixture Polyzime Additive on Lamb Fattening and Slaughtering Characteristics
Biotechnology progress gave the sheep production new possibilities for improvement of productive animals properties. The aim of this investigation was to determine results of lambs fattening by qualitative meadow hay and feed mixtures with addition of polyenzyme preparation. Experiments were carried out with two groups of lambs of Würtemberge breed. The first group of lambs was the control one and it was fed ad libitum by qualitative meadow hay and feed mixture with higher share of oat, wheat and barley and reduced corn share. The second group of lambs was experimental one and was fed by feed mixture of the same raw material structure with addition of polyenzyme preparation Polyzim (alfa-amylase, beta-glucanase, n-protease, cellulase, hemicellulase and beta-glucosidase) in amount of 0, 1% of total mixture raw material composition. The experimental group obtained better results concerning achieved body weights, obtained daily gain as well as slaughtering indicators. This group was also characterized by better daily conversion and higher daily feed consumption.
