White cultivars suitabilities for a technics of "Double ripening" in Istria
The resarch took a place during 1996 and 1997 in a collective plantage of Institute for agriculture and tourism Porec. The resarch took a place on cultivars: Chardonnay, Istrian Malvasia, Muscat white, Muscat white - Momjan, Pinot white, Pinot gris, Sauvignon. Each cultivar was followed through three ways of vintage: usual vintage, late uncut vintage and late cut vintage (Double ripening - DMR) Per cultivars and ways of vintage it was followed the next: yield, randman,(must and rest after doughing) and must analizes (Babo, Oe, acids, pH). During the resarch the intesity of attack of rotting was followed on grašes left for latter vintages and followed as well bz climatic indicators (temperature, relative moisture, rainfalls/snowfalls). The results of these reaserch show that with commom circumstances the technics are up to wine growing and wine production in Istria.
