Comparing capacity exploitation in the production of massive beech furniture
Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) is the most widely used tree species in timber processing plants and massive furniture production. Consequently, research of machine capacity exploitation in these plants is of particular importance. Exploitation capacity (working posts) was investigated in three manufacturers of massive beech furniture. Exploitation capacity affects productivity, production costs, price, product quality and competitiveness. Research was aimed at assessing the rate of exploitation capacity and detecting any possible differences among producers. Exploitation capacities were monitored with the work smapling method. The recorded data were processes with statistical methods.
