Compton cross-section calculations in terms ofrecoil-ion momentum observables

We present a theoretical framework for the calculations of Compton scattering on bound electrons, based on recoilion observables. We show the results for Compton cross sections on He-atom, with respect to the recoil-ion momentum. The validity and the utility ofthis approach are discussed particularly in connection with the electron momentum density determination.
