Zagreb in the Network of European Cities

This work deals with the importance of the city of Zagreb within the European framework. Demographic growth in Zagreb and other larger European cities, especially those in the wider region, is compared. The position at the point of contact between Central and Southeastern Europe is analyzed, particularly under conditions of European integration. Finally, the importance of Zagreb and its urban region at the national level is considered.
