Valorisation of Spectral Influence and Reflection on Photovoltaic Modules - Contribution to Optimisation of Modules Position
The influences of the optical features and the spectral response of the photovoltaic (PV) module to electric output of the module are described in this paper. These effects are presented by the additional correction coefficient of the short circuit current. The extensive research on various types of PV modules in Sandia Laboratory in the USA resulted in a set of the 4th and 5th order polynomials with air mass and incidence angle of the sun rays as variables, respectively. The problem of PV module position optimization is shortly described. Taking into consideration effects of the incidence angle of the sun rays and spectral content, new approach of the position optimization is presented. The optimal inclination of the various types of PV modules is calculated using numerical methods. The effective value of average daily irradiation which can be used for estimation of PV capacity of certain location is introduced. At the end, the value of the new factor "M" (M=Hb ef/Hb) calculated for a location at the city of Split is given for characteristic types of modules at selected angles of module inclination.
