Development of Ion Chromatographic Method for Monitoring of Fertilizer Industry Wastewater
The aim of this work is to develop ion chromatographic method for monitoring of fluoride, chloride, nitrite, sulphate, nitrate and phosphate in fertilizer industry wastewater. Developed method was optimized and better separation within reasonable analysis time was obtained. Optimization was performed by using retention model obtained with artificial neural networks in combination with several criteria functions for evaluation of separation, resulting with fast and accurate optimization procedure. By performing validation procedure and number of statistical tests it is shown that developed ion chromatographic method has superior performance characteristic: linearity R2 ≥ 0.998, recovery = 99.49 % -100.12 %, repeatability RSD ≤ 1.14%. That result proves that proposed method can be used for monitoring of fertilizer industry wastewater.
