Inventory of the Position of Soil Deterioration Chemical Parameters in the Butoniga Basin as a Risk Indicator for Accumulation and a Base for the Organisation of Constant Soil Monitoring in the Basin
This study contains the results achieved recently by researching chemical parameters of soil deterioration in the multi-purpose Butoniga basin accumulation located in the central flysch part of Istria with a special accent on the contents of adoptable heavy metals found in the soil determined by the application of interantional ISO standards. The research results have shown that the basic pedochemical indicator pH, presence of humus and phisiologically active macro-nutrients represent no risk for the accumulation. The greatest risk to the accumulation is represented by the increased concentration of copper (in relation to maximum concentrations allowed by Law) and increased contents of manganese (according to world standards) which could be an ecologically relevant factor in the hydromorphic soil of the basin part of accumulation.
