Power system transients analysis using fem

This paper presents the new method for power system analysis, based on the finite element technique, when modeling electromagnetic transients in a power system in the time domain. The finite element matrices of the parts of power system, have been obtained in natural (a, b, c) coordinates. The time integration has been performed using method. This method has been successfully tested on example of the single- phase sudden short circuit.
