Assessment of Pb and Cd in Dry and Brewed Tea from Rosa canina, fructus and Anthea officinalis, folia by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) and Differential Pulsed Anodic Stripping Voltametry (DPASV)
Lead and cadmium content of dry and brewed tea from Rosa canina fructus and Anthea officinalis folia, wath analysed by two different analytical methoda ; atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and differential pulsed anodis stripping voltametry (DPASV). Lead concentrations in both dry and brewed tea from both species, and analyzed by both methods, were within the FAO/WHO Codex Alimetarius (Roma, Italy, 1974), whereas those for cadmium were increased above them. DPASV proved to be a more sensitive method than AAS for analyzing Pb and Cd in bothe species of tea.
