Computer Aided Mould Design

Injection moulding process is one of the most important processes for production of polymer medical parts. Mould for injection moulding is central and vital element of a system for injection moulding. It must be noted that 75 % of faults in the lifetime of injection moulded polymer parts (for e.g. medical plastic parts) are initiated in the process of developing, designing, and manufacturing the parts. Therefore, modern approach to mould design for injection moulding of polymers requires the application of computers and computer programs which make the mould design a significantly easier and quicker task, and provides high-quality moulds with consequently high-quality moulded parts as well.
